Community guidelines

We moderate every comment by hand (with a little help from automated triage). These are the rules we use.

Be kind

Disagreement is fine — contempt isn't. Critique ideas, not people. If you wouldn't say it across a campfire, don't say it here.

Stay relevant

Comments should add something to the post they're on. Off-topic, promotional, or repeat spam comments get rejected.

No personal info

Don't post phone numbers, home addresses, license plates, or anything else that could identify a private person without consent. That includes us — we're faceless on purpose.

We have final say

We may reject a comment without explaining why. Repeat offenders get banned, and banned accounts have all queued comments rejected at once.
